Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes and his wife, Brittany Matthews, have lots to celebrate after his recent Super Bowl 2023 win — and they went all out for daughter Sterling Skye’s 2nd birthday on Sunday, gifting her a classic Chanel bag that retails for nearly $5,000. In a video on Matthews’ Instagram Story, the toddler, opens up her extravagant birthday gift, with her proud mom exclaiming, “Did you get a new purse? Let me see what it looks like!” Sterling’s black quilted style with a pink lining appears to be the Mini Flap Bag with Top Handle; an all-pink version of the purse will set you back $4,800.
Mahomes helped Sterling show off her gift to the camera, while the fitness trainer asked, “Do you love it? Is it Sterling’s purse?” Little Sterling seemed pleased with her gift, nodding proudly as Matthews said, “There you go!” It was a big weekend for the tot, who not only received a designer bag but also celebrated with a “Sterling’s Two Sweet”-themed party and enjoyed a trip to the zoo with her family. The NFL star and his wife, both 27, are also parents to a baby boy named Patrick “Bronze” Lavon Mahomes III, who was born in November 2022 and joined for Sterling’s birthday activities.
The celebrations follow Mahomes’ big Super Bowl win against the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this month; Matthews brought their daughter along to take in the historic game. Wearing a red silk top and matching trousers, the personal trainer repped Kansas City Chiefs’ crimson hue as Sterling rocked a custom jacket with her dad’s last name and jersey number. The family also coordinated in red-and-white outfits as they headed to Disneyland after the team’s win, with baby Bronze resting in his father’s arms for a sweet castle pic.
