No, the Chiefs quarterback isn’t going to stop Brittany and Jackson from attending games. And, he thinks y’all are weird
Patrick Mahomes’ fiancée Brittany Matthews and his brother Jackson catch plenty of heat on social media for some of their antics at Patrick’s games, including Brittany’s seemingly constant screaming and Jackson’s TikTok dances, especially the one on Sean Taylor’s jersey number painted on the grass when the Chiefs played at Washington in October.
So, when former NFL player and current sports talk radio host Rich Ohrnberger tweeted on Friday that he’s been told the Chiefs quarterback has asked his fiancée and brother to not attend any games next season because they’ve become a distraction, it went viral. Sports sites aggregated the tweet and the word spread.
It took Patrick Mahomes just a couple hours to squash the whole thing.
“Y’all just be making stuff up these days,” the quarterback tweeted Friday afternoon.

Twenty-five minutes after Mahomes’ tweet, Ohrnberger backtracked and tried to blame his original tweet on something seemingly straight out of MTV’s “Catfish.”
“I can’t substantiate the information that I tweeted out earlier today regarding Patrick Mahomes and his family,” Ohrnberger posted on Twitter. “The source I received this information from was posing as someone I trust. I will delete this tweet later today along with the original thread. Please pass this along.”

Just two days earlier, Mahomes had to defend his fiancée after social media started acting up when the couple were spotted in courtside seats at the Texas Tech-Baylor basketball game Wednesday.
“Man people are weird … love you babe @brittanylynne8,” Mahomes tweeted.

Patrick and Brittany are high school sweethearts, who both were star athletes at Whitehouse in East Texas. They got engaged in September 2020 and plan to get married this year. They have a daughter who turns 1 on Sunday.
